Blepharo-plasty

What is blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes fat deposits, excess tissue, or muscle from the eyelids to improve the appearance of the eyes.

What types of blepharoplasty are there?
Blepharoplasty can be of either the upper or lower eyelids. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty removes the excess skin and tissues of the upper eyelid, which can eventually result in hooding of the eyelid over the eye, obscuring vision. Lower eyelid surgery also removes some excess skin, but normally also aims to improve hollowing or eyebags under the eye. Both techniques can refresh someones appearance. Best results are often found when combined with a facelift or other rejuvenating procedures.
